August 2009 Update

We've built our first physical parts! Isn't this exciting?!

The image to the right is our RF matching network. It couples the power from a power amplifier (currently in transit from New Mexico to Virginia), to the cyclotron dee. There is also the possibility of putting a DC potential on the dee, for experimentation with improving our capillary ion source. The DC power supply is protected by an RF choke, which you can see on the back wall of the maching box.
